One designer, two unique spaces in these Simple & Clean kitchens
As families grow and change, so do their needs for kitchen space. These two kitchens are located in new construction homes on a family compound in Buford, Georgia – one owned by a young family with everyday functional needs, and one owned by the family matriarch, an empty nester who was finally treating herself after years of hard work. Though the layouts have similarities and the cabinets are the same, Teresa Geschwender of Century Cabinets in Suwanee, Georgia designed these spaces to function in two very different ways. Her expertise and our expansive, semi-custom catalog were used to create streamlined and functional kitchens that checked off every item on the homeowners’ lists.
Current Meets Classic
The Dakota door style, painted Tru White and Storm in these kitchens, is the perfect shaker door for versatility in decor styles. Shown here in the matriarch’s home, it takes on an elegant look when paired with chrome hardware and a wavy glass tile backsplash.
Endless Options
Counter space is king, and an island without a sink was the ultimate dream for this young mom. So was a full fridge and freezer combo, and our catalog makes fitting them in a breeze.
Maximizing Potential
The islands in both kitchens were designed using standard-depth cabinets on the side facing the cook-top. On the back side, 12-inch cabinets were installed to add extra storage for rarely-used items and create a polished look, as shown here in the matriarch’s kitchen.
Functional Space
Deep drawers with full extension and soft-close technology, which make for easy-access storage, reign supreme in these kitchens. A lower microwave cabinet and beverage fridge in the island give the young family access to everything it needs within reach.
Superior Standards
Quality craftsmanship is the backbone of every Tru cabinet, and dovetail drawers allow for a stronger drawer and larger holding capacity.
Call for Customization
Fully-custom hoods and glass cabinet inserts in both homes allow the owners to showcase their own design styles. The matriarch chose a ship-lap look with curved corbels for a timeless, elegant look.
Adding Flavor
Pull-out lower spice racks next to the cook-top in the young family’s kitchen give easy, reachable access to all the seasonings in a home chef’s arsenal.
